I know this was a well talked about subject for a while, and I was wondering whether the feature of taking npcs (Dust bandits and such) and making them slaves was a planned feature yet? I know that for a while Chris was against the idea.

Liked the idea because when I first played the game the first base I built incorporated a prison for anyone who would attack said base and always thought of how cool it would be to punish my attackers through labour.

Even now I haven't finished coding all the possible situations resulting from slavery, like escapes, recaptures, and all the AI complications surrounding it. If I let the player enslave then I have to code even more stuff to handle the gameplay; what are the downsides, when/how do they escape, how do others react, what happens when you do this etc.
I might add it later in development but it's not a high priority feature, the main reason I added slavery was to cause more fun and grief for the players and to give him something to rebel against and shape the world's economy later on.
