Right now animals will just eat unconscious things no matter what. It's really unfair since its a guarantee death for your members since animals are extremely deadly right now. Unless animals are going to get nerfed because of how unbalanced they are in comparison to people, animals should only eat when their hunger is at least 250 like for people and they'll stop eating when they reach 300.
I think I also saw something where if we were given the ability to kill unconscious people then the devs will also have to give that ability to NPCs. If that's the case then we should be given the ability to kill the animals since they have that ability to kill unconscious people.

You have this ability. Items flagged as death items kill the unconcious body instantly when removed, and those include meat, the fog prince head, etc.gamesftw333 wrote:If that's the case then we should be given the ability to kill the animals since they have that ability to kill unconscious people.

Yup. I loot the skin of the animals I kill to ensure they don't get up. But the day a beaked thing gets up without its pelt to get revenge....

Mind you, as I understand it hunger for animals is currently not fully implemented so this may change then. I think there are some potential disruptions to the game world to consider if animals have to actually hunt and kill NPC's to get fed. Also I've seen predatory animals hunting herbivores, but I'm not sure what the herbivores will eat at this point other than our farms.

Perhaps again if herbalism is implemented then the herbs that might be found around the environment might serve as food for herbivores that may be otherwise immune to the effects. In other words herbivores just treat the herbs as basic food.
