FCS crashes when I attempt to import .po files.
I exported "gamedata.pot" and dialogue files, then translate on google translator toolkit, and downloaded the translated .po files.
The files are saved in "__translation" folder like this

I posted this in other topic, but I guess this issue is not relevant to the issue in there, so I reposted this as an independent topic. Sorry for confusion.

Can you upload your gamedata.po file so I can try to reproduce it. The log file does not contain enough info.

I zipped all the files in 'ja_JP' folder
Hope it will help you solve the crash.

I tried to import in 0.95.32, and yes it works properly!
