Hello, I have recently found some free time to get to work on my translation, but I have two problems with it that I cannot get around. One is quite old now, which I just ignored, the other appeared with the latest version of stable Kenshi I think and it bothers me a bit.

1. Why isn't Kenshi using my lines from tips.txt file when I load my translation as a mod? It sees them when my translation mod is loaded through Kenshi\locale\pl_PL and chosen from Languages dropdown in Kenshi launcher, when loaded through \Kenshi\mods\MyMod\locale\pl_PL however it ignores that file or the original one overrides it. Is it a bug or a feature?

2. There are some interface strings that I cannot translate ("Terrain Feature Range", "User Save Location" etc), I assume they would be either in gamedata.po or main.po but unfortunately these and some others are missing. I opened FCS, opened my translation there and exported the lines but it didn't help, old and new file are exactly the same. Am I doing it correctly or is there another step I should do? Or are these hardcoded and have no translatable strings as of now?

1.Perhaps the problem is that the tip.txt file is not detected in the subsequent ejection mod and its contents are detected by other files. Try renaming your translation file so that it loads on the action and see if that helps. 2.If the lines you want to translate are missing in gamedata.po and main.po, they may be hardcoded in the game and have no translatable lines. In this case, unfortunately, it may not be possible to translate the strings. You can check this by opening the game files with special programs, such as Notepad++ or Sublime Text, and searching for the necessary lines in these files. If there are no lines in the files, they most likely cannot be translated.

Hi genjo97
From what I understand, your "tips.txt" file should be placed under "\Kenshi\mods\MyMod\\data" and not directly under "\Kenshi\mods\MyMod\locale\pl_PL".
