im pretty sure everyone is wondering this BUT...

u have alluded to a "demo" (alpha basically) in the month of oct

is there a hard set date of this demo? or will u keep us guessing till u release it?

this game looks amazing and the sooner i can try it the sooner i can fork out some cash for its dev >:D

I don't think he gave us anything more conclusive than "end of october", which is getting nearer now, so I reckon it won't be long till the release now.

Its hard to say. I still have a list of things to fix that is at least a week long, and new bugs keep popping up. If I give you a solid day I will only miss it.

I'm sure we can all understand if you miss the date you plan to release on. I'm also sure we can all survive if the game is released with bugs. This is going to be Alpha...I hope we all know what we are getting into

You could also put some of the more regulars on here into a secret testing phase (like some indie games that shall not be named) that usually iron out the bugs faster

I'm sure by 'more bugs' he means 'It's not loading' or 'the everything is suddenly on fire' not a bug like the characters attacking each other with swords but you can't see them bugs.

I can't wait to try it out, so many awesome games in the fourth quarter.

Ah, it would appear there is a bit of confusion between alpha/beta and a demo. An alpha (or beta) release is not the same as a demo or even a preview. It's quite literally the dev saying: "Look, here's the project I've been working on, it's supposed to be a game someday, but for now I could use some help in tracking down some bugs, as I only have two hands and can't test every single possible combination of stuff and still release the game before the end of the century."

So yeah, there will be bugs, there will be horrible bugs, there will even be bugs that will make certain releases "unplayable". And I don't care, as it's an alpha, not the real game (heck, it's not even a beta, which is usually a more stable release). And no one's forcing you, or me to play the game in this unfinished state. I'm sure there are people who prefer not to play the alpha, as they don't have the time/patience to deal with an experimental release.

Oh, and the upcoming release is definitely alpha, not beta as hasaosan suggested.

I don't think he meant to offend.
If anything, it was probably this bit that confused him:

Sooo.... I guess we all can agree that this is a work in progress (at stage Alpha) and will have bugs. Basically, there will be bugs.

im looking forward to bugs, when you report one you feel like your helping the game and the released version will feel like you put a bit into it by helping and therefor will be more fun to play
