You become a moderator by being a nice, responsible, respectful and helpful member of the community. Take a look at my posts from the moment I arrived at these forums to see what I mean. You cannot become a moderator simply by asking to become one, so don't try that (unless you can make a really strong case, but I mean really strong), you have to earn it.

As for the colors, members of the usergroup "Global Moderators" get a green name, members of the usergroup "Board Administrators" get a red name. Don't get your hopes up though, as a board administrator has infinitely more power that a global moderator, they are the ones who create new boards and get to choose what functions the forum supports. Very great power indeed, and a single mistake could mess up the whole forum.

also as a side note i had an idea about how players can set themselves up on the forum

threw some system to tell if the account is paid or not the paid members get like a gold star beside their name

Well, I don't have the power to create new boards, and as there are no mods out yet it's better to wait with before we make a separate forum board for them, since you'd only fill it with posts about bees anyway.

Also, this topic isn't really about Gameplay, and it has derailed from the original (answered) question anyways, so I'm moving it to the General Discussion board.
