Stick
Hello fellow Kenshi alpha players,
I must say that I am more than a little disappointed about the lack of an update this weekend. I wouldn't of cared if he added a -5 "stick" to the the our weapons cache, so long as I knew he was alive , well and trudging through some code.
We all have high hopes for this game and proved that by buying it, defending him and his game in the forums and with our patience. I'm not saying he is indebted to us, but a weekly/biweekly update whether it be in the form of a software update or just a forum update sure would be nice. Am I asking for too much? Maybe, but I really hope not.
Thanks for letting me vent a little bit.

really, the updates will come out when they're ready. there's no need to breathe on chris's neck as he's always working on the game and usually when there's no update it means he's busy coding. just be patient, like everyone else.
besides, last status update was a week ago

don't let the anger get the best of you, or we'll end up with a flame war and insults all over. just be patient, updates have always been timely enough..you won't see a second project zomboid, but you might have to wait more than a week.

We ALL wanted the update to be exactly a week, but you know estimates, they are just that.
He probably doesn't want to release what he has until it is stable, because then people will just be complaining about how its broken.
Being he is one guy, he could spend all day talking to us on the forums or he can spend the time coding, and I think he is doing the later. But yeah.. I really wish it was out now too, but it isn't so, we wait.

In the year 2065 the amount of cat pics on the internet will eclipse the amount of porn pics.

Sometimes unexpected issues arise that delay the release of a patch, the general rule is, when we don't hear from Chris for awhile it is because he is keeping his head down and working on the game.

I would personally love it if he popped in and made a front page post every week or so. Not a serious one like that last two, but just a big gloss over that he spent 3 minutes typing while finishing his tea before going to bed.

That would be nice, even if its an update like "hey 2 more weeks on the next one". Just something to give us an idea, and encouragement towards prospective alpha contributors.
To his credit, Chris did post in another thread that the update MIGHT be out today, but probably Monday. But I still have my fingers crossed

The whole smaller updates just to keep people informed thing has been discussed to death, and generally starts some unpleasant arguments. How about we all just accept that Chris informs us on his progress as often as he feels necessary and leave it at that. If what I have seen so far is any indication, no matter how often he updates we will still see threads demanding more updates. As I have mentioned before, the general idea is that when Chris hasn't given us a progress report in awhile it is because he is trying to steer clear of distractions and focus on working on the game.

moreover lately chris has been much more active informing us how stuff is going..if i'm not wrong i remember one-two months of wait between updates, sometimes
