Hello Hatsune OR Chris....I have really no idea where to post such a thing, but I was really interested in possibly doing starting voice acting for kenshi. I have my own equipment and a friend hooked me up with a nice recoring studio, so thats no problem, and I'd do simple things from grunts to groans to yells, all for the sake of helping this game move forword in production. No I am not proffesional, however I have somewhat some acting experience, and would do it all for the low price of free!! I wouldnt even want any benefits what-so-ever...other than knowing i helped one of my favorite games make progress, and a more diverse and better world :)
I really hope you guys can get back to me soon.
It's my dream to be a voice actor...and id even be humbled for a slim chance of it happening.
Thank you, chris, for sharing your unique mind and beautiful world with us, the community...I'm honoured to be apart of it.

Let me give you a piece of advice: Never offer anything for free, if you truly aspire to make it in ANY industry. Your time, your effort, everything is worth something. While you think you may be "breaking in", potential employers or clients will see you as being what you're offering: cheap. And not in a good way. Nothing good is EVER cheap. So even if all you get is your name in the credits and recognition that you did work, never, ever do anything for "free"

Make a mod that will add something like this, if that mod will be good, Chris might add it to the base game with your permission (although Im not Chris and it would probably be pain with legal)

True, but skyrim wasnt made by an indie developer OR low budget.
Therefor, games like kenshi need all the help they can get financially.
I talked to Kole and he let me know the same thing, and If we can work something out,
though not something that is set in stone,
then things MIGHT get rolling.

Again, not set in stone, but I'm definetly going to try to get this :)
Though thank you for the constructive critisism, it does help :)

I didnt mean to sound snarky or demeaning or even discouraging to joining indie projects. My point was intended to be credit on a project, early on a career, can be invaluable, even if there's no money exchanged. Why do you think every film or tv shows has every last person, from the star of the show, to the electrician, to the goffer, to Milkman #2 listed in the credits?

Don't say "cheap"...you are demaning and demoralizing people like that. Even Justin Bieber posted his songs on youtube for free before becoming you-know-what... I have similar problem like this in my line of work too, you can't make contribution without recognition and you can't get recognition without contribution...*sigh* it's a loooong road towards promotion... :x

Not to mention in some indie games people even pay to get their names as in game characters or naming other stuff...correct me if I'm wrong, I think the same issue here where Chris named the cities after the contributor to his game project.

In my country they also open roadside booth for people to try out as voice actor for animations...so yeah I do agree you should allow people to contribute with voice acting...we might accidentally found a new Morgan Freeman or Sean Connery hidden here somewhere...

I would be willing to try some voice acting! Sounds like fun and I have a deep voice and one hell of a war cry. They made us scream as loudly and deeply as possible in the marines.

I dissagree with you Aku, all ain't got to be rewarded. This kind of post is exactly what indie games need, just as community-made localization as in Space Engineers. Games like that are born of passion, not of industry, and got to be fed by this passion to keep their soul. Also, all isen't about money or reward in life, i bet a lot of people would be proud to help for free any type of project that they like, and if you're willing to do something without interest, i don't see why someone would come to say "hey! you should ask somethin'! if i were ya, i woulden't do that...". I would even say that it's a way better state of mind than working for a paycheck, but then it's getting political, or philosiphical if you consider video game as a form of art, as i do, and not an industry.

Free doesn't mean someone is unskilled, or cheap. I would take someone who is ready to put forth the effort to learn and create something great over someone who just wants a paycheck.

The free person might start out less skilled but due to their pure interest or as stated above passion for the project they would likely spend more time with it. So in the end they would probably come out more skilled and with a better completed project. Over the person just working to pay some bills. I have witnessed this time and time again. From working as a cook, to an electrician on aircraft to working at a barn with animals.

If you're doing it as a hobbyist, then yea, sure, but i got the impression that he's wanting to "make a go of it", and maybe breaking into the industry. No where did i say it had to be a monetary exchange, either, CREDIT for the voice acting, while having no true, intrinsic monetary value, can be priceless.
