Just thought I'd make a story partly inspired by my antics in Kenshi and the rest being complete fiction as I wish to express my creativity.
I awoke. My bare back was caressed by the sandy dune, my bare chest and face were warm from the heat of the setting sun, its last rays disappearing beneath the un-ending sea of sand. I eased my weight onto my shoulders and raised myself up. The serene desert's appeal was broken by the view just up from my point on the dune. A cluster of bodies lay before me, some wearing simple clothing and sandals, others in blue uniforms wearing battered armour plates covering their vitals and sword arms. Most of their scabbards lay empty and discarded across the dune. I checked my own, also empty. I also now become aware the wound in my left leg, little more than a niggling feeling in thigh until I looked at the extent of the damage; my left thigh was slashed from knee to near my pelvis. I felt for some bandages in my right pocket and quickly applied them. I dragged myself to the nearest corpse, took his shirt, armour and Katana and prepared to walk to the nearest City.
Feedback will be welcomed.

The Silver silhouette of the moon in the sky lit my path and revealed the footsteps in the sand, hopefully taking me to the nearest town, I remembered nothing of what happened before I awoke, no matter how hard I strained to bring the images to my mind. As I trudged over the top of the Dune, I spotted it. A small fortress town, lit by the odd lantern hanging in a doorway. My hopes were raised, hopefully I could find somewhere to rest and maybe become a mercenary. Then I heard a scuffle behind me, and the rasp of a Katana being drawn from its scabbard. I turned in panic, my Katana drawn, to face my three attackers, they wore dark clothes and face masks and had their Katana's drawn. The first charged toward me and leaped, hoping for me to panic and turn tail, instead I sidestepped as he landed and slashed him across the chest, blood spurting from his wound onto my blade and the sandy dune below us.
As he collapsed into the sand, the other two made for me, my leg started to scream in pain, I felt my leg waver, they attacked almost at the same time and I launched myself at my opponent to my left, levelling my Katana to skewer his heart, through his ribs. He reacted a second too late, dragging his blade round and causing it to glance off the armour on my sword arm as my blade slipped between his second and third ribs, killing him instantly. The Third bandit decided to make himself scarce and vanished into the night. I took their money and weapons and continued toward the fortress town.
