select group key

I noticed that with 74.25 the select group key "-" only selects the current group and doesn't keep previously selected characters selected.
Is there another alternate key the will allow me to select more then one group at a time like this one used to work?

Shift lasso, works most the time but sometimes I want to quickly grab two or three spread out squads and have them follow a leader to get them regrouped. This is much easier with a short cuts. I can still do it as now is, I just have to select one squad and send them then another and send them, as opposed to select, select, select, send.

Yeah i hope it goes back to the way it was where you could select multiple groups this way.
