How do you pronounce Shek?

Is it pronounced Sheik (rhymes with meek)? Or pronounced Shek (rhymes with check)? This has been bugging me for far too long.

I read Sheik as Shake. "Shek it, baby!"

And aye, i think it's "ek" as in heck, shrek, deck, mek, etc.

it would be the "check" rhyming way. To sound like "meek" it would require another vowel.

It rhymes with the sound a Plank makes when getting lodged in your ribs from a heavy swing, because that's how the Shek roll.
