I had sent Kole a PM not to long ago complimenting him on his work, but I would like to add my public support -

I'm not one to give empty compliments, but I do feel strongly about passing them along when I feel they are warranted.

I'm kind of new to Kenshi, but I've dabbled in the indie game community for years. I play games, I've contributed voice acting, music composition, and art content to a number of smaller indie titles, I had a roommate for a while that was one of those crazy geniuses that could just pick up any instrument and play it. I've filled in as project manager, sat down with the lead developer and a composer who was given the direction to develop "medieval style" music suitable for a fantasy game, where the poor guy went out and bought a quality sound sample library of medieval instruments and produced what I'm sure was a reasonably accurate reproduction of what local musicians around 800 A.D might have sounded like, but it was totally not suited for a game soundtrack. And the composer just did not get it. (just one story of many). ;) so I think I have a bit of a baseline of experience to draw on that maybe your average gamer does not have.

When I see someone like Kole doing some very professionally produced video clips and talking about music theory and discussing the creation process, and demonstrating the effort involved in creating something that goes well beyond an in-game jukebox for your favorite [insert genre' here] band, I think that's great stuff! (No blushing Kole)! Seriously I see a lot of talent there, and I'm very impressed.

I have been impressed at the level of talent and creativity that I've seen contributing to Kenshi's development in general. Chris is very lucky to have you all onboard 8-) I look forward to great things!

Nevertheless, keep up the nice work! I have no idea about music but your videos are still very interesting. :)
No worries at all, the fact that you're interested in this game's music & took time to comment makes my day that much better :)

What can I say!? I truly appreciate your kind words & feel equally as lucky to not only work with Chris, but be surrounded by the type of people/gamers who Kenshi attracts. This community is awesome :)

This is going to be awesome! I just love your work Kole. The music fits perfectly to Kenshi and the Main Theme is still my favourite. It is already that powerful and it isn't even finished! :)

Also I recently bought Pixel Piracy and you did a nice job there too!

Thanks very much for the kind words! I'm so glad you're enjoying Kenshi's music & liked Pixel Piracy's score as well :)

I just found this video of a Turkish guy who's invented a new (completely acoustic) instrument- it reminded me of kenshi a bit. It's really weird. Check it out! http://vimeo.com/110633932

Hello everyone! This isn't exactly Kenshi related, but as a New Year gift I wanted to provide a link to my latest album release, The Vigilant Menagerie. (Some of these same musicians played on Kenshi's score!)

It's Pay What you Want until January 1st 2015 and all I ask, if you pick it up for free, is to spread the cheer & pass along the link to some of your friends :)

Happy New Year!
