I think that might be why it's awesome. But it really is the case with games against piracy. Trying to make piracy impossible just makes your game a pain in the ass for paying customers, but just making it less piratable than the next game is very much within reach. Causing the people building cracks to have to take a little longer to make a crack increases the chance that the people downloading will just get a crack of another game instead, increasing the chance that they'll just get impatient and try your game legally or pass it up entirely, either way doesn't make much of a difference.
It's basically all about statistics. Increase the ratio of paying to not paying and that's profit.
