Couldn't see a "quick question/answer" thread, so apologies if there is, or this in the wrong section. It's very late and I've been up most of the night playing. I could have easily overlooked this lol.

Just wondering about party formations. Are they in the pipeline for the (hopefully very) near future?

I currently have a squad of 21 members (modded 255 members cap and 50 squad cap, which I'll never use but nice to have to option) but they rarely stay near one another. At least half are always buggering off and insisting on walking quite a distance from the Leader in all directions.

This sometimes causes them to get attacked, while travelling or sneaking, due to their distance from the main body of the group. Walking around in towns is a hassle too, as they will wander into private buildings (some are not always locked during the daytime) which in turn flags them as trespassing.

Are there any players using a modded cap, who have any tips or methods of how to deal with this? Or at least make it slightly more bearable.

Wee, that's good news! Thanks, Hatsune. I had hoped they would be available for the player to use at some point, especially as I've seen there are AI squads using them and it's very tidy. Any idea as to when? Or is it a typical "when it's done" question lol.

Looking at it closer, members beyond the default 10 are indeed the ones who are straying from the middle. The giant "X" is compact at the center then tends to place excess members at random distances, rather than equally-spaced. It wouldn't actually be too bad if they could bunch up a little. Granted, I am using a modded cap though and I guess that doesn't help at the moment. Hence, my plea for advice of how to manage an over-sized squad.

Micromanagement is key, most likely.

(I know where to look for mods though, but thanks regardless!)

No worries. I'll have a gander from time-to-time. Thanks again.

I don't mind when it's added, just thought I'd ask. I'm sure there are more important things to do lol.

Talking about mods, I made a couple myself actually, including a Nameless faction formation change. It's ridiculously-easy to alter. Meant to have a look at what you could do way back but SDKs can be confusing sometimes. Aside from a few values that I don't understand (will have a look for a more-detailed guide on the FCS in due course), this one isn't too complex to alter smaller aspects of the game yourself.

But I (hopefully) added permanent Surgeons to a couple of settlements (namely "Outlaw" towns such as Mongrel and The Hub, as I figured people might flee to there to start a new life) and slightly increased the chances of non-Humans appearing in places like World's End, Mongrel, The Hub and Waystation. They need testing a little more, by playing and returning regularly to the locations.

I also attempted to increase what armours that Armour King had for sale (both variation of equipment and amount) but upon visiting him, all he had was five or six Longcoats and a ton of blueprints lol. I definitely picked the "clothing" category and not "blueprints" so I'm not sure what is going on there. Not such a big deal, as he's an excellent vendor anyhow. Just wanted to see if I could do it. And no, no I can't.

Practice makes perfect, though.
