Current game features
I've found lists containing future features(try saying that fast repeatedly), but I'm interested in the currently implemented features. I've been planning to buy the game since some time before the alpha launch, but I want to give the game a good chance. I don't want to try the game and not have fun and forget about it, so I'm waiting until enough features are in. Is there a list containing all the currently implemented features? Failing that I'd be grateful if someone told me about what is currently in the game and how much enjoyment can be had from it.
Well at the moment it seems like mostly basic framework.
- You have a fraction of the map to explore. Though I say fraction it's still damned huge.
- Combat is in and functional alongside most combat stats. It will get more advanced over time.
- The health and healing system is fairly functional though again will have improvement.
- A basic party and inventory system exists and is functional.
- Enemy, neutral and allied parties exist while roaming the world battling each other and you.
- Stores and trading is implemented however they're fairly static at the moment unless you restart the map.
- There is a decent number of equipment options currently in the game and very good weapon variety.
- Recently a foliage system was added that made the desert feel a lot less barren.

hours of fun i might add. even in its infant stage, there is a lot to learn about Kenshi and how it works. It does get repetitive after a while-just not a lot of content yet.
but investing in this game will help that content arrive. kenshi is on track to becoming an amazing game that will stand in comparison to big software giants.

For it's price it is very well worth it, I enjoyed it quite a bit.
Though it has little present content, each little bit is very in depth. If you look at the current Kenshi health system there are many layers to it. Blood, after a certain loss you pass out. Limb, after a certain threshold your limb is broken/decapitated. Also various levels of limb repairing/body stabilizing.
-Every unit you have is treated as the main character (meaning you shape and name everyone you control (Very few games have this feature).
-Save function (on exit)
-Option to import previous team into new game.
-In game map editor
-Cool interactions between units (physically carrying your own downed comrades).
-Different point of view, how many of the current games have you the "chosen one" with some weird ability and hollow feeling of being special (you didn't earn that title, so go earn it
)
-decent graphics for a single indie dev game.
-Be warned there is currently no sound, but hey if you have some good music it really will not bother you.
-Ability to pause/speed up time, if you are the planning type.
-You can currently create a good amount of units.

Non-gameplay features
-Modification support with the forgotten construction set, if that was not said already.
-Auto updater & installer
-video settings, kinda (Settings.cfg)
-Automatic screenshot saver (though low jpg quality and saves over old ones when you restart the game)

A thread along this line, with a checklist of planned features vs implemented would be helpful.
I was running around in game yesterday, and had a few moments were i thought "is this in and not working,or not in yet"...If i had a thread to go to, and see "not in yet",it would have helped more than a tad.

Not many features yet. Also, almost no change from the beginning of this thread so use that list. Basically all development recently has been behind the scenes stuff. While not very flashy its pretty important for the actual game itself. Coming up next should be a feature expansion I believe.
