Should i...

Make a thread in the mount and blade off-topic section and inform the people about Kenshi? I am a pretty old user on that forum, and people might be pleased to find this game. So if i am not messing anyone's plans, should i procede?

Normally I just make a "Any other indie games you know of" and dedicate the entire post to kenshi.

It's not spam, has the opportunity to grow quickly, and opens up your knowledge base for indie games.

Alternately, you can just make KENSHI - ENLARGE YOUR PENIS emails.

EDIT: LOL, 4 minutes away. Damn.

Well i'll just wait for Chris get go signal =P

Maybe he sees the whole thing from another angle, and i don't want to meddle in his affairs. Call me paranoid.

He's said several times over msn (and I agree heavily on him) that the game will either be a success or a fail depending how much advertisement it gets.

In a week or two we might be able to push some screen shots of ingame concept villages.

Yeah, any publicity is welcome, even if its bad. Thanks for making the post.

One bit of advice though for people mentioning the game on other boards, don't post it in a challenging way, like "look at kenshi its gonna be better than [this game]!" because people naturally go on the defensive and look at it in a negative light. "look at kenshi it should appeal to fans of [this game]" keeps peoples minds open a bit more.

All i wanted to point out is that Kenshi is better from a CERTAIN point of view, and that is how it handles NPCs... Still i noticed this myself, that the tittle was a little too taunting, but it catches the eye of all people, critics and open minded people that want to explore other possiblities than M & B.

O well, it looks like i started a small war in the Taleworlds forum, but remember as long as there is controversy, there is popularity (Britny + shaved head = lots of attention)

Still, its not very productive controversy when people start picking on my spelling, can you change the thread title?

This is swell, got banned from Taleworlds for saying the word ''torrent''. Without warning. Without a set to expire. After 4 years of membership this leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

Can you guys have some suggestions of how should i react to get myself back in ?

There are multiple ways, however it depends how nice the mods are.

One game I purchased a while ago - Arma 2 - has some extremely vicious mods. They insult buying customers who have problems with their game (which IMO, should have been postponed half a year to fix the incredibly bugged storyline / performance). They redirect any less-than-steller reviews to a general discussion topic on their game (well over 1k posts now, so no one reads your post). EA forums leave a better taste in my mouth than that forum.

1: Make a new account (use a Proxy if you're IPbanned) there and try to convince a lead moderator there. But it depends what your post was about.

2: Make an alt account based on your original account. Most ridiculously power-hungry mods have short memories, so they'll have forgotten about you while you keep your reputation.

3: Make an alt account, twist your panties into a big bunch and make a topic about your banning. Once again it depends why you mentioned torrenting in the first place (many legit uses of course, but illegal ones come to mind first)

EDIT: fuck i said it too

Now that's odd, because I set up a torrent ages ago for a sound replacement mod (for those of us who hate rapidshare) and put up a link to the pirate bay, but I didn't receive any kind of punishment. That said, I did link directly to the torrent rather than to the website, but still...

I used to go there on occasion; most of my time was spent on the suggestions board, providing my tuppence worth whether wanted or not ;).
