Mounts?

I heard some rumors that horses are going to be added in but I can't find anything confirming this. I remember a long time ago reading that mounts would most likely never be added into the game. Did anything get confirmed by the devs or is it just unsubstantiated rumors?

there might be a type of mount in game but not until after full release.
Do you believe the sexes should be equal?
