Help with math (damn water...)

So, to keep up with:

- 45 hydroponics (15 wheat, 15 hemp, 6 rice, 9 greenfruit);
- and 3 bread oven;

Exactly how much water (wells) do I need - I have max efficiency of 37% using wells III - to keep up with everything?

a lot :D (sounds like the new math, my kid could probably tell you.)

xD

Yeah... I figure ot out. Twenty is the number, but this many the job "haul to water tank" breaks in 2min trying to gather from the wells (works like 5% of the time, the other 95% it spends doing nothing)... and the 3 farmers always try to pick up the water in the tank or the closest well... Maybe in the experimental build...

Urgh... now I wanna move back to that wretched farm area... at least my pathfinding works better with a less crouded space.

Game has issues with multiple wells. I have actually reported this a few months ago.

That's sad... they all gather in one well and wait... tier 3 wells is not even a band-aid in desert biomes (125% efficiency is kinda of a bad joke when you have so few water - that useless 37% uu).

I tried every configuration possible but the AI seems utterly broken in this case. More tanks and workers gathering water results in 2 characters making the same path (together with the farmers that cannot pick water in the tank) and only one gathering water (with the furthest wells accumulating to 10 without use).

Even with overflow all the plants are dead or in need of water... And if someone is thinking this is kinda over the top, 15 hydroponic wheat (I guess is the max you can put in one Storm House with storage - require some editing skills) cannot keep with a single grain silo (with a high farming level character of course).

There is a simple mod that gives all your wells 100% efficiency to help you with multiple farms.

Meh, now I feel I'm in a Bethesda forum xP

This needs a real fix, not just a paint job.

My problem is not using 30 wells, is that above 12 all the jobs (that needs water) AI breaks (I dismantled 8 of my 20 and the npc gathering water started to work again). In fact, almost all the jobs that require some sort of storage break with time or randomly stop - normally they found one storage, but freezes doing nothing after that one is full (damn armor plates); or they cannot find the storage (tomorrow I'm gonna post about this).

And I'm not that worried to use a mod too - in 2h I'm with a surplus of fabrics, drugs, food (all kinds) and all I need to do is... well, I already did, now is just wait.

The game is focused on brutal realism. And not every Well is a well with a perfect supply of water.

But I will agree the AI needs fixing. It's got some bad pathfinding and the auto-jobs are buggy as all fuck.
