6 Years of Kenshi

Back in 2012, July 10, 2012 if my digital receipt is to correct, I backed Kenshi for the price of 10$. This was a good bit before it appeared on Steam, and you had to search for it to find it. Dunno when, dunno how, but I found the game, liked it and backed it. There were a lot of crazy ideas that were promised for the game and I watched and waited patentiently wondering what will actually end up in the game and what will be dropped for being too hard (it is a one man project after all).
Well, as one of the back in the day backers, I only have this to say:
Kenshi has totally surpassed the expectations I've had for it, and I've enjoyed it every step of the way.
We have recieved all sorts of major enhancements to the game that was up in the air or even cancelled. I can have my troops be martial artists, support through ranged attacks, replace lost limbs, raise war dogs to help in the effort (and eat all the chopped off limbs), grow crops (outdoors and in), and all sorts of extra bits. I got my money back in gameplay back when it was all desert in 2012, each update was like a new free game. The game hit all these rumored ideas that were easy to drop to just get the game done, but instead the game pushed through and accomplished what so few did- give a crazy idea to attract customers and FULFILL those expectations.
The only disappointment I have is that I only paid 10 dollars for this game.
So, I know the Kenshi's journey is almost at an end. The game will most likely be more than finished by this time next year, with a few features probably added in after that point, but the next journey has yet to start. So I want to make this clear as one of the earlier backers who gave 10 bucks to this project: If Kenshi 2 is a thing, even using the same game engine, I can promise you I'll pitch in and buy it, and if a "deluxe" edition or "backer" version that costs more exists, I will buy that one instead. Kenshi is an amazing game that has always had endless potential, and even just expanding that potential is worth it to me. I have 330+ hours of Kenshi (on Steam) with probably 100 hours back in the OLD version before Steam. So, if Kenshi 2, is just Kenshi 1 refined with the same engine and more features, I'm SO gonna back the hell out of that, just take some time to update the system to allow more armor spots, ect ect ect.
If Kenshi is done, fine and all that, but I'm gonna wait with anticipation for the next project. I know full and well that whatever promises are made, they will more than likely get done come hell or high water. If I even remotely like the idea, I will be backing it if given the option. Can't wait to see what's next from the minds who brought Kenshi and all its feature to life.
As for anyone reading this who feels I'm just blabering on, please, just think of ALL the games you've bought or backed that had watered down, removed, or otherwise falsified features that never made it into the game, or games that died during production, or just plain SUCKED. Kenshi created ideas no one else had the guts to consider for a legitimate game and I can ONLY hope and pray that other game designers start making "Kenshi Clones", much like Pubg, Minecraft, and Dwarf Fortress have. The features this game produced could only help spice up the gaming market that has become so bland as of late.
