This demo is really not much different to the last one, so all you will really notice is buildings dotted about, and improved performance. And probably more bugs. There is pathfinding, but it gets buggy around buildings.
To be honest its not very good, still needs more time but im releasing it anyway for bug hunting.
I think next release will be sooner, and will focus mainly on performance and stability.

First you will need to install the PhysX drivers, EVEN IF YOU HAVE AN ATI CARD:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx_9.09.0814.html
you: "but I have an ATI card..."
me: "Just install it dammit!"

You also need directX9.

Demo temporarily unavailable due to web host problems

Thats it. Please report MAJOR bugs and especially crashes. Thats what its for.
You probably need at least a 2-core CPU.

CONTROLS:

arrow keys - move camera
ctrl key - free rotate camera
left-click - select / deselect characters
right-click - give order (move/attack/heal/talk to etc)
F5 - quicksave (only saves your squad, not inventory or world)
F9 - quickload
T or right-click portrait - camera track character

NOTES:
-2 buttons near bottom middle-right for stats and inventory
-dont forget to level up characters after a fight with stats screen
-click MEDIC button, then right-click character to heal
-if a character goes down and you heal him, he will eventually get up when his blood level gets over zero. -100 is death
-look into "settings.cfg", here you can change the amount of bandits running around, THIS CAN IMPROVE PERFORMANCE A LOT
-delete ogre.cfg if you want to change your graphics settings again
-the construction set is there if you want to play around

Lots of other keys will do weird debug stuff, so be careful. Of interest:
F4 - level editor (buggy)
F2 - character editor
F8 - screenshots
S - toggle shadows

I just noticed nobody blocks in combat. A little unbalanced that. I will patch it soon.

Few problems. Controls still awkward. Random walking in a line. Lagish. Text doens't fit in boxes. Have to click multiple times for it to except text.

Yeah, still working at the laggyness. Run it at 1024x768 for the GUI to look right.

Just realised how awful combat is right now, its fallen apart while I wasnt looking. Patch in a few days.

What do you mean by random walking in a line?

I tell my guy to walk to a certain point. He does and then I turn the camera so I can see behind him and he keeps walking back and forth in a line and doesn't stop.

I can't seem to find any bandits anymore. They sort of seem to appear at random out of nowhere, and only very rarely.

I usually just spawn them to steal their armor and the attack the townsfolk.

Here's a fix-up for the combat, makes it more bearable and boosts performance more.

doh! Fixed it, download again.

So my expectation now, is that despite being buggy and no fun, it runs relatively smoothly and doesn't crash. Please let me know otherwise.
I would like to know how performance is for people when doing different things. Press 'E' to show framerate.

If you are dismayed by lack of bandits, increase the number of squads in settings.cfg.

I crashes sometimes when I tell one guy in my party to drop his armor to the ground and also when there is to much fighting. A glitch I found was when my character died he dropped his sword. When he came back to life he still didn't have his sword but the animations of fighting look like he was fighting(and blocking) with an imaginary sword. And when he blocked the sparks actually flew out so I am certain he was a wizard.

Yes, he was just a wizard, its not a bug.
Download the patch again, if character editor is too zoomed out.

I am interested in this crash when theres too much fighting. How much fighting? Is it a common crash or rare? Any ideas how I can reproduce that crash?

Mostly when the townfolk fight the spawned bandits. It depends on what computer you have that can take the fighting. If you have high end you maybe can have a 100 battle but on a laptop the most is about 80-90 people fighting.

I'm getting a lot of crashes too. Seems to happen when the villagers charge the bandits. I got a dud ragdoll error and a lot of targetDown null errors in the error log.

Also, I have a Radeon 4850 and I had to get the fix from the 0.10 thread to see the characters, is the fix going to be in the next release?

Edit: I just managed to hit -2147483648 Blood.. and I was still up. Then the game crashed.

I've encountered a couple invincible bandits. They get knocked all around town but never die.

Entering/Exiting the stats menu seems to set blood to 80, if you're down at the time this can cause a crash, teleport you far outside of town or sometimes you'll just stay down even though you're healed. Even with super speed, I never did find the town again after getting teleported.

Can't seem to pick up swords.

When I tried to drop my sword, I thought it had fallen through the ground because I didn't see it, but when I entered combat, it reappeared.

Somehow got 483648 points to spend, so I got all my skills to 200, points didn't deplete... But I was able to run around like the Flash. :D

Even with 200 in all skills, and generous use of the stats menu healing, I died fighting 3 bandits.

The quest to find the watch is amazing.

Thanks, this is really useful.

It seems i have some nasty obscure memory corruption bug somewhere, it could take me weeks to fix this.

I randomly get errors when I'm doing anything. I'm using Vista, so maybe that is the problem(Damn Microsoft) I have a Intel graphic card so may that be the problem.
