Thunderdome in Heft

So I was running around getting screenshots for the wiki and noticed this in Heft....
Was wondering if anyone know what this was for or if there are planned features for the Thunderdome?

Well, I mean it's quite a unique building. I was wondering if there was any purpose for it right now or in the future. It looks almost exactly like the Thunderdome from Mad Max.

Tbh this looks like a building under construction, kind of like the one in the screenshot seen on the FAQ page.
But I do wish it's a death match cage where I can let loose Tiny Tim to lay waste upon the other contestants. =P

That part has been bothering me, that one and the other one at the south east region.

I didn't really have any problems when taking these screenshots for the wiki, but in the distance the edge of the world looked really messed up.

I had been there in earlier updates but when new ones came there was invincible barrier and game was bugging when near it. Now it works again.
