I have no idea why. I've been a contributing member of this forum for a while, and I've spent long hours playtesting the pathing system of this game rather than even playing the game. Seemingly this has gotten me banned....

I just figure rather than taking this as my unwelcoming from this community, I should first ask why?

The only thing I can think of is maybe mods didn't like my screenshot I shared in General? I thought General was the appropriate place to share it and crack a joke about it. It seems I was banned for thirty days starting a day or two after I shared that....

According to the note on your ban, it sounds like Neko got the impression that your account was hacked, so she was banning it until you got control back. Unsure what led to that impression though, you would have to ask her. It certainly wasn't malicious on our part though, nor anything to do with where you posted that post.

I see no spam, and no attempt to resolve the situation was made on the part of those assuming I was hacked and spamming....

My email was ignored and I was left banned for the full month, and this meant abandoning the playtesting I was engaged in at the time. Seems a counteractive strategy for building community.

So I'm put off, and with just a generic excuse that I posted spam (even though none is to be seen and I guess I just take your word for it, though there's no sign at all my account has been hacked otherwise? At the time I was logging in at least once a day, too) I can't help but think a problem big enough to ban me but not big enough to resolve with me is something personal.

For what it's worth, I don't believe in the years I've been here I've ever violated the rules in any way.

The only control I lacked over my account was due to my being banned.

Course you see no spam, it was deleted
we can not leave up links that are dangerous to the community. so they get removed.

Is there a way to delete my profile? I can't seem to find the option, or perhaps you can permanently ban me?

This is none of my business, but, maybe there's an alternate resolution to this situation? Seems like Jay is openly apologetic and distressed. Whatever happened is over and on the surface level, appears accidental or unintentional. This appeal looks reasonable from my perspective, just my two cents.

It has already been resolved
i explained what happened.
It is my job to keep possible malicious links out.

Sorry if it offend you, but i did my job due to the fact somehow, you posted a nefarious link that i had to remove.
you were only temp banned for what we believed was not a action of your making but a malicious entity that had gained control of your account.

if it happens with others, i would do the same thing.

If you wish to stay with the community, that's your choice.
if you wish to leave. that's your choice as well.
If you wish to stay offended at me for it, That's your choice as well.

I would suggest changing your password for safety's sake as well.
