apparently paypal gets moody with donations, something about not receiving a product or service in exchange for money or some crap.

I think you can contact Chris via a pm or buy more cd keys as some people do

PMing Chris about it seems to be the most efficient way.

I've never heard that. I've both given and received donations using paypal without any problems..

Maybe they will interfer if its overdone or something, e.g organizations that thrive on it etc.

Paypal in general is very bad to sellers. For example, early on in minecraft's development when notch used paypal, paypal decided to suddenly lock all the income he was getting. On top of that, they essentially taxed that money for all the time it was in their possession, as if they were charging interest for holding the money. It took many months for them to eventually release it.

This is all from memory so the details might not be in order, however this sort of thing is incredibly common with paypal and they have a very long history of scumbaggery thats easy to look up with a search.

Sucks that so many people use them...

There arent any alternatives, well there are a few maybe, not sure if they're better.. but yes they can freeze your account when for example investigating something, they don't want to be responsible for breaking some law. It's the same with a normal bank, even if i want to go there to put in 100 Skr / $15 the bank will ask me how i got the money etc. There's all kinds of stupid rules they must follow. Might seem like they're doing it only to piss of their customers, but usually that's not the idea and usually not good for business :)

A bank doesnt charge you for holding money they dont allow you to withdraw, though. They basically hold it then steal a portion before releasing it, if that happens. And they take unreasonable amounts of time to release it, maximizing their income from that sort of bs.

There's an option now on the main page. Its basically the indiegogo perks. If you just want to donate a random amount I haven't figured out how to allow that yet, but if you buy multiple copies that is essentially the same thing because i get the same amount of money from it.
