Question: Updating by torrent or direct download possible?

Hey guys, I'm a bit new to the forums, but a long-time follower of this game. I recently took the plunge and bought it and have been playing version .29 because the auto-updater hates me. (Slow download speed, consistent crashing).

Is it possible for me to update any other way? I'm currently looking into the unstable .39 torrent, but I'd love to be able to not have to redownload a gb every time an update dropped.

Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated. Please forgive if General was not the right forum to post in.

I think the art assets are what is making the current update so large. Bite the bullet and download the .39 torrent and overwrite the current kenshi install.
