Lost registration key. How can I recover it?

To cut a long story short, the email I used to register and purchase Kenshi with was stolen and I am unable to recover its account details. Not a big deal, I made a new one and gutted the old one of anything important.
Seeing how Kenshi is about to go up in price with the coming of the 0.40 update, can I recover my registration key from anywhere? I tried digging through the install folders but couldn't find anything that looked remotely like my registration key.

Do I have to just bite the bullet and buy another key then?

EDIT: Never mind, I bought another key. Buy a cup of coffee or some drugs or something.

I would say post in the account/activation forum, and also send Chris an email/pm. He might be able to track down your purchase if you give him some info.
