Lo-Fi Games

Out of curiosity how Kenshi would look in a grassy/green environment, I made a quick change to the sand texture and changed it to a grass one, and honestly it doesn't look bad at all.
It does look kind of bland in some regions, but if we ever get tree's it will look great.

i prefer the sand landscape, but it certainly is fun to change from time to time.

Now go and put up a mod for this in the mod forum.

I, oddly enough, prefer that to the sand, I like the sand environment but grass just looks better to me. Would love to see this uploaded as a mod.

If it's something other people want, I might as well post it to the mod forum. Will find a place to upload it and post it there.

Best not bother with LOTR mods, Warner Bro's might throw another tantrum about it like the whiny little bitches they are.

I like this, the sand just doesn't do it for me without footprints

While playing on a previous save I was messing with the Forgotten Construction set to much which made the save stop working, I just made a new game start character as a police chief with 125k as a restart to my previous char where I actually had more then 125k because of my outpost.

It's possible but it's going to be more work then just changing the sand to grass texture. You would have to redo the rock textures to a darker version and make a dark/dead mud/rocky texture instead of the sand. You'd have to make everything darker and get depressed playing in this dark doomed world, now who would want that. :p
All in all, this is less then a days work so I might just give it a try if I have nothing better to do.

Edit2: Darker mountains, grayer sky, depressing underground and the occasional green funny plants now and then to lighten the place up and apparently I had nothing better to do. :p

Its pretty awesome to see kenshi with varying terrain looking that good. When chris gets around to more regions i suppose it will work out very well!

It's indeed kind of fun how it might look like in the future, the options I have are limited at the moment but it's already possible to redo different biomes and see how it looks.

I'm still playing around with the snow, looks kind of a region of Tibet. I still need to recolour the plants. The rocks are still the dark kind I used in the barren Kenshi but I like the look of them togethere with the snow. I'll make a new Topic in the modding section called Snow Kenshi when i'm done.
