i like the outpost but not the location lol, i usually try to get mine in some high place or anyway near a mountain to use as a natural wall...the downside of that is building on slopes which is incredibly painful (and in the case of the stone miner, incredibly ugly as you can see under it)

This location is awesome :D . Thats what i think offc.

Well for that i guess i have to take a bigger picture.

I guess there is only 1 location perfect for a city and thats a natural valley with uncrossable/walkable mountains and a bottleneck entrance.

I have my outpost in a similar area also I'm wondering are those wind generators of any actual use of just for show for the moment? lol

So far I'm working on Buster Sword, Auron's Masamune, Bows, Mace, Dark Knight Halbred, Zangetsu, Guts' Dragon Slayer, Zweihander, Baselard, Daedric Two handed axe, and more to follow.

Power is a requirement to run a base. To my knowledge there are 2 powersources: fuel powered generators and wind power. Currently there is no fuel requirement but chris indicated that it is on his to-do list so Wind power, apart from looking incredibly sexy, is probably the best way to proceed for the moment.

I actually think that chris needs to drastically up the power provided by generators to make them a viable option. At present the only produce double (?) the power of a single wind thingy. Their only advantage currently is that they save space. Once fuel requirements are brought in they have almost nothing to offer that is better than a wind farm other than an earlier tech availability.

Looking good! I did a similar thing of using windmills to outline my base (not the entirety, just a small area). I think that they look really nice and serve that purpose really well. Adds 'character' to outposts.

Here are some shots of my little outpost, Devils End. I'm stocking up on materials at the moment, anticipating new research via updates. doing just about everything in terms of production at the moment. Just need those traders to start giving me money when they run through my saloon :)

Are 5 wells enough ? :D i think ive got about 6-7 now.

Haha atm i am stocking up aswell. keeping a few people on the mine and 1 on the processor.
Like 3 people fighting and the other on production and 1 for trading.

I could use less to fight but that isnt smooth for multiple fights after 1 another :)

Edit: ow u only have 1 thingy to make alcohol ( ive got 4 of those and 3 ovens) :p

yeah, my priority has been building materials for the moment. I was just looking at the trade value for rum though  so I will probably build a structure for the sole purpose of a distillery. Only thing about making rum/bread/fabric is that it takes a lot of micro-management because once the output is full, they arent scripted to put it in a shop counter or anything... Am i missing something there?

anyways, yeah I think as soon as I hit 40 full pallets of building materials I will get cranking on the farming.

only Three defending? they must be good fighters! is there a patrol/waypoint function that you can have your guys wander/guard with?
