hi :), following this very promising game now for month and read the forum and all other possible sources for infos about this beauty. well, one question (maybe two) is left for me.

until now we saw many pictures and two videos of this greatly promising piece of art, showing us the landscape and our (maybe) future character travelling in the desert. i would like to know how is traveling handled generally?! chris_the_great said something about a fast-travel map / system, if i remember correct.... how exactly will this be implemented? cam we use a fast-travel map or system or do we must use it (like mount & blade)? could we walk from one corner of the map to the other simple by walking through the world seen in the video or are this places some big scenes?! ^^hope the question is not so stupid and my english was not so bad (i'm german and a little bit out of exercise).

thx & greetz from germany, berlin :)

Read the front page ;)

btw, I'm sure I seen (and answered) the exact same question on this forum already. Anyway, here it goes
On top of that, in a later release there will be a fast travel option on the world map (similar to the map screen in the original fallout games).
(I assume with original fallout games he meant Fallout 1 and 2)

How did fast travel work in the original Fallout games? The (Fallout) wiki is your friend: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fast_travel
Now, the fast travel mechanics in Fallout 1/2 differ from the fast travelling in Fallout 3. In F3 you click a dot, and that's where you will appear after the loading screen. In F1/2 you travel over the world map, and "enter" the different locations. You can also encounter random encounters while travelling.

I don't know how closely it will resemble the F1/2 system though, and seeing as how it will only appear in a later release, there's plenty of time for Chris to give us some more details (hint hint ;))
