Lo-Fi Games

I just got the game on steam. Is there a way to move my save file from the old game to the steam version? or will i have to start over?

iirc the only difference between the two versions is a steam-ready launcher. so if you grab the save folder from the normal version and dump it into the steam folder it'll work

Is there a way to start a new game and import only certain squad members? or is there a way to remove members? Is there a way to import just the characters? no other information. I am paying taxes to another faction. I can't figure out how to stop these taxes.

Paying taxes? That one i didn t knew, but no there is no way to do that, only way to get id of squad memebrs is to set them on a 1 way trip with no armor low class weapons, look for some enemies and just be patient.

Yeah when i first started building a base i kept getting raided by like 50 raider guys who were extremely well equipped and strong as hell. These Dragons guys said if i paid taxes they'd take care of it. Well, i don't want their help anymore and they keep taking my money.... I wanted to restart completely and keep my character, or at least a couple of them.... It seems i cannot do that. New game it is i guess. FML another 40 hours of trying to get strong enough to not die.

I am probably to late to prevent you from restarting your game but I am pretty sure somewhere on the main menu there should be a "Import Squad To New Game" option
What this option should do is...make a new game with all of your old characters
Hopefully that will get rid of your tax problems

I started a new game and imported without buildings because my buildings were causing crashes. I decided to suck it up... fuck starting over the first like 20 hours of this game were fun but miserable lol.

I have very little interest starting over with 1 character as strong as a kitten. So ill just hope i see these black dragon guys again and maybe ill be able to speak to them and stop the taxes... or kill them! Starting a new game did not remove the taxes btw.

There must be something wrong with your save file or somewhere around there, try to go on the report bigs see if anyone had similar problmes or start a thread, because is the first time i hear about taxes, i never seen this Black dragons either.

The black dragon guys came passing by my village like back around January (+ or - a few months) I started talking to them and got excited because they were the first NPCs i encountered that i could actually speak to that wasn't a merchant or hireling. That ended with me accidentally accepting their protection. I have not seen them since then.

T.T i got duped by the AI hahah

Also i started a new game and while i havent invested the time into getting far enough to research and try to make new stuff the tech tree isnt any different which leads me to believe i'm still stuck where i am. So im going to go back my old save and ride it out. Hope for a steam update that fixes this and adds more to the game.
