How does one do research? I set up for a few times, then nothing happened after waiting awhile. I was in another factions settlement if that has anything to do with it.

Also how does the 2nd weapons slot function as I didn't see a way to dual wield or cycle between weapons?

I dragged a bandit a good ways into prison (was literally chased for several miles by 3 bandits until coming back to the town started from and the guards took them out after taking out a larger group of Dust bandits..while I practically just watched). I took him into town and threw him into prison..as of right now he's stuck there and can't escape correct? I believe I read that on the forums.

Also, after the skirmish all of the guards went down to loot but each time nothing was taken. I thought the AI could loot as well and everything the player could. Has that just not been implemented yet? As I was able to take everything I wanted from ten or so bandits.

And yes, oncein the prison he cannot escape unless a glitch happen which cause so, if that happens make sure to report it.

About the loot fromn the AI, i think is just not implemneted, i might be wrong tho, there been some discussions on the forum to people try to look a fair way for it, so you are just not strapped naked, but from the creater i never read anything.

What I observed at first as "looting" behavior by the AI was actually "medic" behavior.

The Ai mercs will bandage and splint fallen comrades and themselves. Sometimes due to positioning it looks like they are bending down to loot a body.

I would just like to see others loot bodies, such as civilians instead of allowing the player free reign in all situations.

ya, Ai will loot you in the future. I think Ai is a while off yet. Takes a long time to put all the coding in for AI, very draining IMO.

i have seen ai civilians pick up armor and weapons left on the ground. almost killed one for my armor back.

Yes I have enjoyed this mini game:

Beat and loot a bandit/enemy group of all weapons (worked best with imperials for me), then first aid the entire group. (also a good way to grind rep/field medic skill)

As they start reviving drop a cheap weapon a short distance away and then snatch it up as they start to run for it. Play keep-away with the group for as long as you can or until you get bored.

The won't loot bodies (yet) but they will pick up an item they need that is loose in the environment.
