New update makes some NPCs look *WILD

with update .44 some npcs look like they are too short for the build of their bodies, its quite ridiculous.

this is not a complaint, i just thought it needed to be addressed, its mostly in town NPCs that are affected it seems, most bandits are normal for me other than the occasional out of place hair style but i assume most of these things will be ironed out in the future.

I find it more disconcerting that not a single trader is wearing pants.
I know sometimes you just gotta show off those legs (carrying those backpacks full of heavy objects gives you magnificent thighs, after all) but it's kinda silly.

Sir Chuckles, start a new game/import characters to a new game to fix that (supposed to at least). But I agree... my midgets are hilarious looking! also seen some slender men haha.

Its pretty cool to see the new character models when it works even if there is a few weird ones.

It's almost like we got dwarves as a playable race. Hell let the characters go a little shorter, and we'll have gnomes.

Paint them in blue and we got the smurfs.

Both the engineers I've found so far are dwarfs.

Here's a screenshot of some bandits after they murdered my pathetic squad. Nice to see that unlike the midget-hate-machine shitstorm-of-bad-character-design that is Borderlands, you can actually play as one in Kenshi.
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... =157305774

Seriously what the hell is wrong with Borderlands 2 they set up some characters but completely missed their marks with them and resulted in the game being a midget hate fest. Tiny Tina: a child obsessed with explosives who is hyper and bubbly and violent. Actual implementation: http://borderlands.wikia.com/wiki/Tiny_Tina she has massive creases on her face, bizarre eyes, and speaks in reality TV/black slang. They completely missed the mark of juxtaposing a cute girl with violence.

And then there's the fifth player class, the mechromancer. You should immediately know that she is a violent machine obsessed character. I feel that they should have used this character as a tiny midget tinkerer with a light hearted personality and voice, maybe going in for an anime style, to make the character work. But nope instead they made her as tall as all the other characters and have a "mature woman" voice, unfitting of a character with pigtails. This also means that every midget in the game can be shot on sight without any consequences. In fact, if you don't shoot them, then there will be consequences.

Sorry, just had to rant about the bad design of Borderlands for a minute.

I didn t play Borderlands 2 but i know that girl for her derpy eyes...

And by the way talking on the cahracter looks, did anyone else got a character which, at least to me was from default and i couldn t fix, his stomach and stmach was ok, but the in between was like, ever a "hill", no matter how i did, he seemed to have a third bood under his regular breasts, like if he was starting to get fat but then had good abs. I ma take a pic to place here after.

You call them a bad design.

I'll call this a bad gibberish which you should've been calling it yourself as, 'My opinion that nobody in here gives a shit about.'

I marked it with red and bold because it's important. See what I did there?

woah man chill and let's get back to the subject shall we?

It's not that the models are bad. It's just the randomizer for the proportions can have some interesting outcomes sometimes. Personally i thought this was kinda weird in the beginning but then when i got used to it, it actually made the NPCs stand out more and I would actually zoom in just to see if the bandits i meet are odd looking :P

you try increasing your character strength yet? supposedly the texture will morph a bit to look more muscled if you do, i imagine it'd look better then.

Not yet much, he still low at it, and is nt character i want to create to much, the other ones also have the same or even lower and are ok, just him has that upper gut more salient.

The character variation isn't that bad as in not enough to make me want to stop playing the hair bugs are odd sure but nothing to make me run in fear like gobbl3s said it adds variety it is definitely better than being the same old character model for every NPC and character throughout each town, I'm sure it will be fixed in due time maybe to make them look more different even, but thinking about it would these people look normal if they lived in a post apocalyptic desert place? It actually makes some sort of sense (well in my mind that is).
