Question

Tried tacking these to a post on steam regarding the latest update. No answer... (sorry if this should have been in the bugs section).

I've heard that there were issues with "auto-arrange" influencing stats. I only know of this due to the 0.50 update report.

...I'm mildly worried that I may have encountered a slight version of this bug and hadn't realized it. Quite picky, I know. But I'm a purist and an OCD nut, obsessed with a legitimate experience. Was this bug subtle at times, or would I assuredly have known had it happened? Thanks a bunch for any info--- would rather not restart (lovee this game)!

Depends how much you used the button. As far as I know, the way it worked was if you had, for example, a weapon that enhanced attack and reduced defense and you hit auto arrange, it added those altered stats to your guy's stats, and it would stack every time you hit the button. If you didn't have any stat-altering items in your inventory, the bug would (probably) not have an effect; if you only used the button once or twice but did have stat-altering items in your inventory, the bug would likely have the more "subtle" effect you're worried about.

Hope that clarifies matters. I have no personal experience with the bug as I didn't use auto-arrange, but a mod answered someone else's question about it in the gameplay forum.

from what i understand, you should be able to tell if you have the bug by taking all your equipment off (weapon and backpacks too). if your stats are red, then yeah you got it. but even if you do, what's the point of restarting? you can just get the stats back up by playing the game normally. it's not like it blocks them from growing.

Thanks man, that helps a lot. If I may explain my rather irrational OCD issue, my worry is that a stat was raised. Perhaps the color may show up green in that case? (Worried about unfair advantages). But you're absolutely right, the amount of hours I put in, there's no logic in restarting. I just get a touch obsessive over things I love. And I love this game.

Anyway, thanks to you both so much for humoring me. I really appreciate it.

Also, if you know what your stats should be, for example, if you have your defense 5 points higher than it should be, you can remove everything else and wear a gear that has overall stats of -1 defense and then click the auto arrange 5 times in order to get your stats back to normal.
