So, I havent played this game for quite a while, so I was really surprised at how badly it runs now. My laptop can run metro: last light fairly well, and yet I can barely get past the character creation screen in kenshi.
There there smoething you're supposed to do now to get the game running decently? Because I remember it running fine some months back
Why is the game so hard to run suddenly?

try turning down your graphics setting
turn off shadows.
alot more content has been added so its more of a load on your computer

If you can run Metro, it shouldn't be a problem.
Try forcing your laptop settings to use your proper GPU when it runs kenshi (_core.exe).

But there are still possibilities for optimization like this one.
