Any chance of a demo release that OKs followers

Until the buy link becomes active again?
I'd have bought the dang thing already if I could have, but there's no way to for the moment, and I'm really wishing I could have some teammates.
Maybe put an expiration date on it or something - the followers go into stasis or become no longer selectable or something after 12/24/48 hours.
I don't really want to make extra work for anybody, I'd just like to be getting the full feel for the game and i don't feel like that's happening while I have to drag all my conflicts to the city guards or wandering empire packs.
I'm definitely a buyer. It might no be not complete, but there's definitely $10 of distraction in this for me already.

I HAVE bought the game, and I feel that you can't get a real feeling for the game unless the followers are enabled.
Chris is think you should add the ability to get squad members to the demo.
Still restrict it to level 20 cap and no mods and such though.

Calm down, its not a good idea to release followers to the demo, even if the skill lvl its blocked on 20, im playing the demo, and i have def and atack lvl 20, and a kill groups of enemies alone, if you have the followers it will be the same game as the complete version.
Soon the link will be working again, it doesn't worth to do this.

Yes, it will be essentially the same as the alpha version of the game....
But the demo wont progress, but the main will.
We'll get to build towns take over towns, run shops. All that good stuff.

Oh, it's not a "calm down" issue. No rabbles are rousing.
The fearless leader announced that it would/could be days before purchase might be an option again. I'm a wee bit jealous of the folks that got to buy it and get the full experience. I'm not mad though.
It was more of a, "hey - if this is easy to implement and seems like a reasonable thing, please do so."
I'm having fun anyway, but I could be getting more out of it. No biggy.
It definitely shouldn't be read as "You are mean! Give us more stuff, or I will put lots of frowny faces on my Facebook page".
The whole thing looks really cool so far with some interesting chaos. Thanks for whats out so far.

Maybe I should allow trial users to recruit 1 more man. When players have only 1 character they go into Diablo mode and expect to be able to conquer the world.

Anything would be great really. I'm just looking for something to hold me over until the purchase option goes live again.
Really though - think of the many police, caravans and empire troops that will be spared by this kindness... They have already faced droves of drive-by Bandit Tsunamis(10 to 40 bandit drop-offs) peeled off onto them by yours truly. I mean, I gotta work my attack skills somehow....
Thanks for the attention.

Hi averyone !
Yeah give 'em a taste of a couple of followers.
That's the big attraction of Kenshi and I suppose that's exactly why people purchase or download the demo for.
When I first read about kenshi it was because I typed in a search the words *squad based free roaming RPG*,so I expected to see a squad,demo/alpha/beta

I haven't got the game (yet - bit cash-strapped atm

) only demo but... I think since you can't progress with building etc. in the demo it might be a good idea to allow 1 follower for a bit more flavour.
Hopefully as more people find out about this n dl the demo it adds another element to play and might reduce the 'diablo' effect. People who don't think much and expect to be able to decimate groups of enemies at skill cap might piss off without realising the larger side of the game otherwise.
It would also be good since people can tend to complain about missing stuff even if said stuff is free, and especially if they don't get indie releases (more patience!).
