Mousing screen edge behaviour changes

Sometimes mousing screen edge tilts camera in that direction, which seems to be intended behaviour. But sometimes, touching the screen edge causes the camera to pan. I have no indication of what causes this change.

Also, why are there two weapon slots, and what determines which one is used?

TY.

no idea on the cam thing. but theres 2 because one goes on your back one goes on your side. the top one is for bigger weapons. the only weapons that fit in the second weapon slot as of now are katanas. although more weapons being added in the future will add more reason for both of them. also the top one puts weapons on your back, the second one puts them on your side.

Right.... but, how do they know which one to use at any given time?

Currently the game will use your weapon in slot 1. If no weapon is present in slot one, it will use slot 2.

That's as far as it goes right now.

Maybe if your right arm goes limp it might use the weapon in slot 2 as a back up in your left hand, since it is a smaller slot and will not allow you to equip the biggest weapons in it.

Either keep a backup katana in it or leave it empty is all we can do at this point.

Alright.

The camera issue is still my main concern. Has nobody else experienced this?

I think i read in one of the really old threads here that Chris intends for weapons to break when you fight really strong opponents and/or when you use weapons and are too strong/weak for them. I would assume the second weapon slot is for having a backup weapon.

No idea on the camera.

Whta exactly do you mean with pan/tilt?
following wikipedia (I'm not a native english) pan and tilt are the same thing (except one is horizontal and the other is vertical) pan tilt

if you meant that te camera pans/tilts sometimes and slides at other times, then thats because when it pans/tilts you have right-clicked on a character-portrait (causing the camera to keep the character in the center)

the camera depends if it is following a character or not.

Weapons are chosen automatically by the npc based on whichever one is better. In the future, if you have only 1 arm functional you will have to use a lighter weapon like a katana

1337: Yes, sometimes the camera slides and sometimes it rotates, I guess I should have picked better terms.

1337, Chris, & Nithy: Thank you, each of your answers are helpful and appreciated. I understand what is going on now, and knowing that the "better" katana is selected will help me with inventory management.

Chris: Out of curiosity, what stat is prioritized when a character is selected the "better" weapon? I assume damage, but all things being equal, will they value "slashing" over "blunt," and if two weapons have the same total damage, but one has way more blunt and one has way more slashing, what happens? Thanks.

it uses the overall stats of the weapon to decide. BUT it does not take into account your characters weapon skills, so don't equip a weapon you are not good with and one you are good with.
