why is there not even an atempt at a kickstart?
you have a lot to show.
the infusion of capital and hired help would do you good. so would using the unity 5 engine!

There was a kickstarter years ago.
Unfortunately it looks like it didn't receive much love, unless there were multiple attempts.

it failed
on the books it shows $2,315 was raised in 2012. there was another donation ( $2,000 ) after it closed which is mentioned on Indiegogo.
But with Steam being on Kenshi it is fully funded and the Dev has said he has enough money for least a year and a half of development time at full staff.

That's assuming it never sells another copy, which i'm sure it will continue to do so. Despite how slow it is, and how abnoxiously buggy, and the occasional doomsayer, it still manages to pull off "Very positive (87%)" On reviews. That just shows that people really appreciate this game.

yep
if i remember right, they said Kenshi had already sold over 100,000 copies at the time of the AMA.
so yea, funding is not really an issue for the development of Kenshi, though like any game more money never hurts and allows for more stuff to be added.
Would Kenshi benefit from another Kickstarter?? yea but would Chris do it?? somehow i don't think he would.

Are you kidding?

In the short time I've had this game, I've become positively
addicted to it. I can't stop playing. I can't stop talking about it. Bugs or no bugs, it's an incredible game, isn't it?
I only heard about it a month ago. Word of mouth is bound to keep gaining them fans, I'd think. You're right about that.

This game feels very much like some of my favourite games i've had in the past (e.g. Fort Zombie, Star Wolves, Faces/Men of War) - it's got this very Russian feel to it: clunky, bad performance, bugged to hell - but in some strange way totally addictive
