Up to date non-steam version?

Is there a up to date non steam version of Kenshi? I want to play the newest release but only have wifi to download, and sadly I have a desktop with no wifi card. Far as I'm aware there's only the steam version now (there use to be a non steam version) so any help is appreciated.

only the stable branch is avilable
For Experimental beta update you have to have steam for now as Desura filed for bankruptcy. and they stopped supporting Kenshi. even though it seams they out of bankruptcy and the site is running. :/

Sadly the reason I wanted to know is because the only way I can download is through torrent on my phone. My desktop doesn't have a WiFi card, and I lost my internet cord in the move. And downloading via a hotspot is too slow (tried it already...)

I'm downloading the game via... other means for now. Not a huge deal to me.
