Recently discovered this wonderful game and i started straight with an experimental version 0.91 with new map. Now i want to try an old map too, but there are multiple versions of it available in steam. Obviously, 0.76.5 is my choice, but im afraid it is bugged and unstable. So which one would you guys recommend? Steam-default 0.74 or 0.76.5 experimental?
Sorry for my english btw.

74.32 is the current stable default branch, though it still has bugs.

Stability of the game largely depends on yuor computer and how it interacts with the game.
current Experimental version is V0.91.18 and is where the game is in Beta stage of Development.

I recommend the Beta branch as it has the latest content. Down side is it can become unstable after a content update. but teh Dev does get it patched pretty fast after one.

I play exclusively the latest experimental version.

is it possible to play the old map with the new game version?
Does the last 7.... game version contain nearly all features like the 9.1 ?

The reason is that the new map is atm much to small in my opinion, does someone have some ideas how to change the map? : )

thx for help

No. Since they are seperate updates, you are restricted to the functionality of the previous version of features on the old map.

A lot of the content update revolves around AI and interaction with new map features. I think if someone truely delved into the FCS, through some dedicated effort, they may be able to transfer the old map over to the new version, but there is so much missing in the old version that it wouldn't work the other way around. But even doing this would require quite a lot of rewriting to make things work. You would have to rewrite all squads, AI packages, and then some to spawn appropriately and accordingly to the new towns and map. Not a petty task.

ok, thx for the answer.

So i will wait for more of the new map : ).

*New question*
Does a statement exist from the developer how often he will release a new part of the map?

*old question, not relevant*
I m a new player, so i dont know how much work the new map will be, but does someone know if it need longer than 2 months for the next part of the map?

(i think i will get the answer "soon" xD)

The only statement from the developer is that he does not like giving ETAs for anything. On occasion he's pretty confident for a release date of an update, but with people being super critical about "devs keeping promises", they get uppity if those deadlines can't be made for any reason.

Your best source for upcoming news would be his twitter. Any estimations will likely be from there.
