Can't enter building because furniture & Storage box issue

1.I try build a Research bankII into my house the Research bank was red at all places so the only place i could place it was near the door....and now i can't enter the building because of this mistake. that would not be so dramatic, if not the Storage boxes for stones and building material would also be in the room. I build new boxes but the AI always try to use the not finished boxes in that building.

2.I could Use not finished storage boxes.

Are you able to finish building the bench? Once you do that, you might be able to dismantle it. You might be able to sneak someone inside the building by using the follow/bodyguard options.

This same bug is happening to me. Built a house for 35 construction bars and then built a research desk 2 in the corner adjacent to the door. My people can't enter the building when there is clearly room for them to get in. My engineer can't build or disassemble the bench because he always gets caught in between the door and the bench. I tried running some path recreation key commands (Ctrl-Shift-F11) but all it did was lock up the game for a bit. I might have to disassemble the building and it took forever to build.

I'm sure you've discovered this, but you can't dismantle buildings that have furniture in them.

Yeah what i meant was that i cant dismantle the furniture in the building.

i too have the exact same issue. Is there anything that can be done?

i fixed it myself by restarting twice and choosing the option to keep the squad and the buildings. the first time i did this, the under construction bench was removed, but my people still could not access the building. the second time however, everything was normal. I do not know how viable of an option this is in the future, but from now on, i will be quick saving before any construction.

I guess with the removal of under construct benches and desks ..will provide you a big space..So you have to manage it well..
