[0.44.1] Kenshi.exe is missing

I downloaded kenshi 0.44 yesterday and played it for a while. Today a new update (0.44.1) came up and I normally installed with autoupdater.

Now when I try to launch the game.. Well there is nothing to be launched. The 0.44.1 somehow got rid of the whole kenshi.exe file and now the game is unlaunchable for me. Any solutions?

EDIT:

I managed to launch the game with core.exe. But the kenshi.exe is still missing so basically there is no automatic updating anymore. You will have to launch wyupdate.exe if you want to check for them. FYI.

I had the same problem, I'm re-installing the update to check and see if it gives me a .exe file

I am suffering the same problem listed here. Kenshi.exe has vanished and the game is only executable by using "_Core.exe"
Hope this gets fixed soon.

I'm assuming this is on the direct download version not the steam version? Does the launcher come up when you run _core.exe or does it just go straight to the game?

Yes direct download, and yes the launcher comes up but, unless i'm mistaken, it doesn't check for updates. Which is a bit irksome

If the launcher still comes up, then I'm guessing Chris combined the kenshi.exe and the _core.exe to act more like the steam version does, is with just one executable. Though it could be quite an issue if it doesn't check for updates.

You dont need kenshi.exe
Start the game using _core.exe or krnshi_STEAM.
Update the game using wyUpdtae in game folder.
