Whew ... I do not know what the game lacks. Import does not work. Crashes happen even with the new game. Play around for compatibility with AMD / ATI.

I'm not sure if this will make a difference, but try turning texture quality down quite low in the options and tell me if it makes a difference to the random crashes

Additional hardware specifics may be useful in diagnosing this error, if everyone who is encountering this issue can post a dxdiag text file (please just attach the text to your reply, no need to copy and paste). While I can't be certain this information will be helpful it may help diagnose a common thread in drivers or hardware that can help speed the resolution of issues of this type.

Yeah I am getting this, too, and posted in a different area. But I will respond here with my DxDiag.

Maybe this will help. In v0.40.5 crash the game was less frequent in v0.50.1 game is more stable at the lowest graphics settings and turned off the shadows (screenshot 10/20/2014)

I see that all three of you are running AMD processors, no real other common specs, try this if you haven't already, go into task manager and set the affinity for Kenshi to a single core of your processor. I'm curious if this will have an affect on how long it takes to crash. If forcing single threaded isn't working, even though it will negatively affect performance somewhat, setting the affinity to a single core has been able to resolve some crashes in the past in other programs in my experience. While I don't have the intimate level of knowledge with Kenshi that Chris has, I figure I may as well give you all something to try, more information never hurts when dealing with issues of this nature.

I have an Intel quad processor, but there is also a way to set up which processors the process will use, so I forcibly set it to be single-threaded. The result is that the savegame was loading VERY slowly and crashed within 15 seconds of when I first was able to select my squad. Thus, it was even worse for me.

Already uploaded my report here in the past http://www.lofigames.com/phpBB3/viewtop ... f=9&t=4964

I do not know where does the application work on a single core. With multi-core Intel problems as there is no

I couldn't even get it to load doing it with setting the Affinity to just one processor, so that's not really a viable option for me, either.
