I posted this problem in the Kenshi Steam Discussion area, but it was closed before I got an answer because a new update had come out. Unfortunately, the new update did nothing for the problem. I'm going to go ahead an copy and paste what I wrote in the post.

I have a crashing problem that I didn't mention in anticipation of a mini patch such as this, but the problem persists. I have zero crashing problems except for one.

When I try to cross over a certain mountain pass, the game crashes every time its begins to load the new zone. My guess is because my old town I built in my first save is still there, even though the rest of my towns disappeared with patch .58 as they were supposed to.

Of course that may not be it, but why else can't I enter that one specific zone?

Before you suggest, yes I've imported my game. I've done every combination of game import. With tech, without it, reset squad, don't, with buildings, without. None of them worked, I also started a completely new game and traveled to that zone, thus causing a crash.

This is the mountain pass. The first time I crossed it and experienced this problem, part of my old town showed up, (that I built, did not edit in) and the game crashed. The town is very old, I think I built it in the .40 patches, and it has never disappeared. Of course this may not be the cause of the crash, I don't know. Every time I enter the zone now, I don't see the town before the game crashes, yet it still crashes in that one specific zone.

As Hatsune requested, I zipped up the save file with my entire squad standing below the exact mountain pass I'm referring to. And yes, this save file is updated to 59.1.

I think this is the correct crash file, but I'm not sure. I got one other crash when I updated that I promptly fixed, so hopefully this is the correct on crash file.

I highly doubt this problem is on the developer's fault, I have a feeling I am an anomaly with this problem. I've searched the forum for similar problems, but I've found none that fit my criteria or fix the problem or me.

Hopefully I've provided all the required information and files as well. If you require anything more, please tell me. Thanks a lot.

Well I must apologize, it seems wiping my entire Data folder did the trick. I thought I tired everything, but I guess not. Have a good day.
