Ok first, I've attached my quicksave if you want to just hop right in.

Essentially its not totally game breaking, but it does suck as it seems other game functions cease to work properly as a result of it (bandit attacks on my base, movement with doors closed, etc. ill explain in a moment).

So when I first started playing my survivors game it was rather difficult as I was learning. So I finally decided after MUCH contemplation to start a base initially by buying a house in Brink. This would give me protection that the Guards offered and allow me to start building. Everything was hunky dory until I was finally ready to build my actual base. As you'll notice in the game save I've been working hard on it over the past few days. The issue has always been however that this is not technically a NEW base... Apparently I built it JUST close enough to my Brink OP to cause it to still be a part of the city of Brink. Although it appears to be far enough from Brink IMHO. But it isnt just a matter of not being able to see my town display unless I run back to Brink. Its also a matter of being attacked 5x less than im used to a base being attacked due to the bandits going for Brink 90% of the time instead of my base. And seeing as I am conveniently bugged out, if I send someone out of my base and close the door behind them, they suddenly will do nothing but attempt to unlock my gates before they will allow themselves to venture out. So my base must always be exposed completely to even be able to adventure out. I know its Alpha and still in major development so Ive managed to still enjoy the game regardless and have obviously continued building. However if this could ever be fixed and I have full functionality of my base and actually get to name the dang thing, that would be AWESOME.

Anywho, i tried searching for this issue so if I missed this and its a repeat Im sorry :P. Thanks a lot guys, have a great day.

I'm seeing two issues here:

A) Your structures are coming under the ownership of Brink instead of your own faction?
I didn't quite understand this part. Re-explain it please?

B) The gate pathfinding bug that has already been reported
The only way to work around this issue is to have at least 1 open gate to allow travel in and out of an enclosed circle of walls (I use multiple gates to make this easier)

I have no idea how to load his save game into mine for testing, but I think I know what he means for A)

If you build a mine, gate, wall or any of those primary production structures, they are registered as being under the rule of the nearest City. For example, when I build an Ore mine at the first allowed instance outside of Capan, an Ore information (0/10000) counter will appear whenever in the City information box (Name of City, Town Faction etc) of Capan. The counter will increase as I store Ore in a Storage box I built within the City, so the mine, and the Ore gotten from it belongs to the City, as recognized by the system.

It is only when a secondary structure, like generator or processing machine is built, does your outpost gets recognized as an outpost, and the ownership of the Ore mine becomes your's, and the counter disappears from the City information box.

There have been reports of A) happening when you buy house in city and then build something in that city. http://steamcommunity.com/app/233860/di ... 206434933/
Is that your case?

I'm not entirely sure as to what this will contribute here, but at one point I had built an original base near a town, and built walls that lead up to the town gates. Within a curtain proximity of the town, my own walls become marked as their property. Though I was still able to build/dismantle, etc. So it's not just a bug about buying a house in the town first. It's just a proximity to the town itself.

It's what teravisor just said. The issue however is that I most definitely feel that I am far enough away from the city that my base should be it's own entity. In fact I am unable to view my base's stats unless I have a character run closer to the city.
