First of all, you can use a shopkeepers backpack yourself and run around at full speed, even the high stacking ones. its a bit exploity.

If a shopkeeper goes down in a city battle, you loot his backpack, and then you heal him and he gets back up, trading him will open his inventory instead of a shop window and you will be able to remove and insert everything without money being given or taken to/from you.
