Custom ( Forgotton Const.) Character missing on update.

Hi guys,

Game updated, I went to load my save and my custom character (from custom start) that I made with the forgotton construction set has vanished from his squad. I tried to put him back in creating a new squad and importing the squad from an old save to new, but he still isn't showing up. He's in the platoon files (Nameless_0 character Jahsus) just not in game, it even says I have 18 members on the load tab. Would it be possible to put him back in? Any thoughs?

This is quite odd. Somehow that character has become an Iron Plates Research item.
The only way of recovering him is through editing that platoon file.
Find the INSTANCE_COLLECTION object, open the top instance (7372-Nameless_0.platoon-INGAME) and change the target 1532832-rebirth.mod (Iron Plates Research) with some CHARACTER StringID such as 136-gamedata.quack(wanderer). This should originally have been the one from your mod.
Unfortunately I don't have enough information to figure out why it broke.

So is it possible to keep subraces I have added in after an update? Or will they have to be remade everytime? The update removed all my changes and I had to remake them all.

Just to make sure, did you save your changes as a new mod? Or did you just edit the base game file?
