Bonedogs still "Playing Limbs" as Adult

I've read that they are only supposed to do this as Puppy's and Teens but mine is an adult and still does this and its incredibly frustrating. It just runs off all the time and gets attacked by a large group and dies before we can get to it because it went way off. Also, in the middle of a fight instead of helping kill the enemies, it will grab a limb and run and circles again. This has rendered the dog useless. Its a liability if nothing else because once they kill the dog they often come and attack my other guys.
