picking up characters 98.56

Seems there is an issue with picking up and carrying characters since 98.56.
When you pick them up the lifter does register that they are carrying someone and you can't put them down.
You can sleep and sit and anything else but not set them down.
If you select the carried character and right click you get the menu to set them down but the lifter doesn't respond.
I have had one person who was on Find and put in bed duty pick and carry three characters and refuse to set any down.

If you save and reload the system figures it out and you can set them down as normal, or in the case of carrying multiple people all but one will reload standing and you can set the last one down.

Here is an example,
my undertaker is carrying at least 9 dead wild bulls, and about 13 random dead bandits, but will not put any in the corpse furnace. When I save and load the game she drops all but one, burns that one, then pic

ks them all back up again and continues to run around with them.

I was able to pickup and drop people but if it was considered kidnapped then I could never drop them or put them in a cage.
