Hi, just bought the game, playing the version straight off of the Steam store and noticed a very small bug with the labouring skill. Around the late 30's it's effect on mining speed drops. Sorry I can't be more specific but I was playing fast speed, didn't notice the slower gathering of copper ore immediately. I recall it being 0.82x and when I noticed the drop in gather rate I checked and it was only 0.65x so I waited to improve more and sure enough, when I improved the skill again, to 39, it went to 0.85x. Unsure how many skill levels are affected, somewhere between whatever skill gives 0.82x and 0.85x.
Maybe you already caught it but I searched using UK and US spellings of "labouring" and couldn't see any mention.

OK so does food affect this? If so could be weirder than I thought as it could mean when you level up it's putting you to full benefit instead of a negative for hungry, or it's just some oddly unintuitive mechanic I don't get /shrug. I think my food was ok yesterday but can't be 100% certain. I didn't realise my main character eats raw meat at first so they were full while the one I hired wasn't so I did buy food but not sure if any was left over to feed the labourer when I started mining.
Anyway, today I've seen this skill do the exact same thing going through the 40's, benefits dropping by a fair amount a couple of times when the skill levels and then pinging back up when the skill levels again (eg I think it was 43 dropped, 44 went back up again, somewhere around there). Skill improvements were continuous btw, no breaks because I was out of cash so mined a lot, maybe 15 ore, sell, go back immediately for 15 or so more. No food was consumed for sure today cuz I had none on me, couldn't afford any. So when I finally skilled to labouring 48 my skill benefit once again dropped from last I looked (0.91x) to 0.61x. I stopped mining at that point, had enough, but checked this a couple of times as I wandered around and no change. Then I noticed some time later that I was malnourished so I bought some food and bed rested after a battle. No further improvement on labouring skill itself, still at 48, but benefit is now 0.93x. Not mined at anything other than full health btw so that was not a factor.
If hunger affects the skill fine, makes sense it would, but then it doesn't explain why the skill jumped up and down as the skill improved in level when I definitely didn't eat between skill levels - I was broke, couldn't afford food, mined until I had enough cash for food and to join shinobi thieves while I was on a mining roll. OTOH if hunger doesn't affect this skill then it doesn't explain why it went from 0.61x to 0.93x without any skill improvement, only bed rest and eating. Only just started playing but I've watched a few YT episodes and haven't seen tiredness be a thing, or maybe it's a 'hidden' thing? Oh well, rambled on about this long enough so I'll leave it with you, hope you can work it out, if necessary

If your selected characted is doing something the skill his using can be seen in left bottom, 2nd stat window. Just move your mouse over that skill to see what affects your skill. most comon case is 'work in darkness', its just harder to work without light so skill is droping, next - injuries and hunger.
Sorry for my bad english.

One thing that would have that effect is working at night without light - the dropoff is quite significant, though I've never taken particular note of the numbers. It affects all forms of work.
