Keep having a small bug that doesn't allow me to exit the game, it gives a little box at the bottom like auto-saving that says "exiting" but doesn't end up ending the game. it doesn't cause a crash or anything and appears to only happen after prolonged play time.

hit exit again
not sure what causes the issue myself, but some times it requires you to hit exit twice before it goes oh, you wanna leave?

I've experienced this as well a few times, I think its in relation to the game saving. Maybe your game is just auto-saving? Hitting the exit button any number of times probably won't help you, just wait for a bit and try again. Or Just wait until the game is done saving and the exit command will finally register and work on its own.
It seems to take longer the longer you play or the more your travel across the map. Perhaps its also caused by the game still loading in new map sections.

I have something similar to that, in my case when I try to exit a windows message appears saying that Kenshi don't respond but don't crash or generate a crashdump so I must exit manualy with Ctrl+Alt+Supr to see the message, it happens every time.
And I don't have auto-saving active.
