Sound has stopped working (all of it) 99.30

It worked fine before but all of a sudden there is nothing anymore. Other programs on my computer have been unaffected so it isn't a driver issue or anything else of that kind for that matter.

Any ideas?

Same here, no sound on loading screen and nothing in game.

I can confirm this. No sound at all. Checked Windows volume mixer and in-game audio settings. No effect at all.

so it's something with the recent update then because everything was fine and dandy with 99.29 before.

Same, I even went a step further to reproduce the problem by reverting to an older version after the update. It had sound, then going to the newer version which had sound. Then back to 99.30 which produced no sound. To note if it helps, I reverted, verified my file cache through steam. Which to that effect identified two files which needed to be reacquired.

Same though i heard verifying doesn't really help much for this game atleast. I even restarted my computer. Still no dice but atleast we now know something went wrong in the most recent experimental update.

edit: btw do any of you guys use AMD cards because i do. Doubt it has anything to do with this but you never know.

I just checked steam and it seems more people are reporting this same problem. Does someone know how to rollback to 99.29?

ok, thanks for telling us! I went back t version 99.28 btw (latest stablerelease) because it was only 2 patches behind experimental.
